WELCOME TO WEB SITE OF NUCLEAR-ASTROPHYSICIST AKIRA DOHI !!
Hello. I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Astrophysical Big-Bang Laboratory (ABBL) in RIKEN and a member of the Interdisciplinary Theoretical and Mathematical Sciences (iTHEMS) Program.
I am interested in various physics to work in neutron stars (NSs), which are the densest stars in the universe. My current research interest is the thermal evolution of NSs to focus on the properties inside them. Concretely, I have studied the cooling behaviors of isolated/accreting NSs and Type-I X-ray bursts through numerical simulation. Recently, I have also started a study to search beyond standard physics through compact objects. By comparing the observations developed in recent years, I finally aim to specify the wide physical properties of interior compact stars, including unexplored ones.
If you are interested in my study, feel free to contact me (E-mail). I'm happy if I discuss/collaborate with you about my study (or your ongoing study).
